When Dave brought in this awesome Lotus Evora into our workshop he brought in a few pieces of paper with him, they were print outs from a game screen capture! after a bit of a discussion about if we could do it or not we settled to the fact that it would be possible with most of the work being done by hand and a few bits having to be done on the vinyl cutter.
When we say by hand we do mean by hand! We use wrap cut tape to mark out the lines of where each coloured piece of wrap will be going, once laid the filament in the tape cuts the wrap, which when the excess is peeled leave the finished contour shape.
Dave wanted to add some extra stripes over the car and that was left up to us to come up with a design, this dual colour stripe went over the bonnet and roof.
So the chosen colour scheme for the Lotus Evora was British Racing Green wrap and yellow wrap to match the Lotus colours, what a perfect combination.
The Sun strip was tricky Dave wanted the sun strip to curve to retain equal dimension in height from left to right, and of course the Lotus text had to do the same..
The very last addition was the Lotus Sticker on the rear quarter of the Bumper, Dave felt that area was a little empty!
So there she is in all her glory.. it was a challenging build, but we really enjoyed doing it and love the outcome, Dave of course was over the moon with it.
